New Billing / Support Portal!

We are very excited to launch the new Billing / Support Portal! As I am sure you may have already noticed we launched an entirely new customer portal. We have redesigned the entire interface with hopes of making it easier to navigate and access crucial features that are available to you that you may not have been aware. These features include the ability to log into your cpanel directly from the billing portal, view the status of the servers in your network, and log into your webmail. While we have spent weeks developing this new portal we are sure we did not find every potential issue within the new system so it is very important that if you notice something that you believe is off to inform us as soon as possible. Any other comments or feedback is also greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for being part of Siteocity.com! The Siteocity Team

cPanel is asking for your help.

By now I am sure you all know that Siteocity.com was purchase by cPanel, Inc in 2012 with the intent of providing an excellent hosting environment while bringing exciting new features to Siteocity first. So with that thought in mind we are introducing a few new changes that you all will start noticing over the next few days. The most notable change that everyone will see is the change in the version of cPanel/WHM on the server. Currently installed is the Release version of cPanel, 11.36, but we will be upgrading to the Current version – 11.38. Chances are, by the time you read this, the upgrade will already have been completed and you will have already seen some these new features. Visually, you will not notice any changes but there are many system changes that will greatly improve your experience with Siteocity and cPanel. The two biggest changes to 11.38 are to the backup and SSL systems. The new […]

Introducing Cloud Linux!

We are formally introducing a new feature made available to all Siteocity customers; Cloud Linux! What is Cloud Linux? Cloud Linux is a special distribution of Linux that creates a virtual environment for each individual account on a shared server, allowing Siteocity to have more control over the resources any one single account can use. What does this really mean? Previously, if there was a rogue user that was abusing the server it affected all users on that server. Now, with Cloud Linux, the server isolates that one user and keeps those processes from affecting other accounts. I won’t go into all of the techno mumbo jumbo regarding how Cloud Linux works, but rest assured it works very well. If you would like to know the technicalities of Cloud Linux please go here. How will this affect me? The good news is, Cloud Linux has been installed on our servers for a few weeks. So, if you are concerned with […]
